Rear-projection cube manufacturer VTRON has expanded its DLP series with the launch of the Visionpro CF Series front access videowall cube. Designed for small to medium-sized control rooms, the CF Series requires minimal installation depth.
“With the improvement of the screen technology, the screen bezel width of CF Series video cube is less than 2mm. In addition, the screen gives better display quality of images and small characters,” said VTRON’s technical support manager, Michael To.
Each Visionpro CF video cube has two small catches, hidden in its narrow bezels, which allow operators to lift the front of the screen in the front; the screen can remains in position for maintenance and is easily pushed back into place. This process does not disturb the other cubes in the wall. This eliminates the need for a rear maintenance area and reduces the operation costs for the control room.
The CF Series is built on the same VTRON V8 technologies as the Visionpro C Series, achieving stable videowall performance for 24/7 operation. Display sizes of 60in, 67in and 70in and resolutions of XGA, SXGA+ and 1080p are available. Features include automatic colour and brightness management, with brightness up to 1,100 ANSI lumens and a 2000:1 contrast ratio; 80,000 hours’ lifetime; full redundancy of LED light sources; and a built-in processor, hot-swappable for optional signal input board.
VTRON is said to be the only company purely dedicated to developing and manufacturing videowall solutions. According to a 2012 report from Futuresource, the company is ranked at number one in the rear-projection cube market in both the global and APAC regions.
