Toshiba Europe has announced the UK availability of the new TD-U Series – the company’s first professional display series with ultra HD (3840 x 2160) resolution.
Designed for 24/7 operation, the Toshiba TD-U Series is said to be particularly suitable for retail environments where the display can catch customers’ attention outside opening hours. The series consists of two 85in models, the TD-U852 and the touch-enabled TD-U852TS.
The combination of Ultra HD resolution and 500 nits brightness (450 nits in the TS model) ensure colours and content are always well displayed. while the 178º viewing angle allows for maximum impact from a wide range of positions. The displays can be mounted in landscape or portrait orientation, and are equipped with dual 10W speakers.
The TD-U852TS features an integrated six-point IR touchscreen for the provision of interactive content. A 2.0 mm Corning Gorilla Glass finish protects against scratches and cracks, and also prevents glare.
The Open Pluggable Specification (OPS) slot on the TD-U852TS enables users to install, maintain and upgrade their displays with minimum hassle. Both models feature a large range of input and output connections, including RS-232/LAN control for remote display management. Further to this, content administrators can display up to four different full HD content feeds simultaneously in split screen mode via the multiple inputs.
