Swedish sports bar installs Harris digital signage solution

Swedish sports bar chain O'Leary's has made the transition from blackboards to digital signage with the help of Harris and integrator Effektfabriken.

Harris and Swedish digital signage solutions provider Effektfabriken have developed and installed a new Harris Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) network that has enabled Swedish sports bar chain O’Learys to revolutionise the way it communicates with customers across 70 locations in seven countries. The advanced DOOH network, already commissioned and operational in 50 of O’Learys’ bars, is based on Harris InfoCaster digital signage technology.

The Harris DOOH network provides a diverse promotional platform that offers a richer visual experience for O’Learys’ customers that extends beyond basic digital signage. This ensures the delivery of visual content including HD-quality graphics and video across the network of sports bars and restaurants. Replacing blackboard communication with digital display screens, the network enables O’Learys to inform customers about their latest sales promotions, provide information about the rapidly growing O’Learys chain, and promote local events at individual bars across their enterprise operations.

The Harris DOOH network, designed and managed by Effektfabriken, is built around file-based workflows that merge broadcast technology with IT infrastructure. The Harris solution empowers Effektfabriken with content creation, scheduling and network management tools.

Effektfabriken play a key supporting role to O’Learys, providing a full managed service for the operation of the digital signage network from installation to content creation and remote network management. In addition to Effektfabriken handling overall content management, O’Leary’s staff can also modify portions of the content on screen at each location to reflect accurate menu and pricing information at each outlet.
