The new Axon SynView modular multiviewer, capable of handling both 4K and any IP video formats, is showcased on the RTS Intercom Systems/Bosch stand. Also on show is the latest version of Axon Cerebrum, able to monitor and control multiple devices on one easy-to-use interface.
Designed for use as a standalone unit or as part of an Axon Synapse signal processing system, the SynView solution is compatible with a wide range of applications and from small to extremely large monitoring walls.
The only single field latency (20ms at 50Hz and 16.7ms at 59.94Hz) multiview system on the market, its modular nature means that it can be combined with over 300 different processing modules to provide a system that truly stands out from the competition, the company notes.
The new SynView consists of two basic models, each available in two versions (SDI I/O or Ethernet I/O). These versions can be mixed and matched to build a hybrid multiviewer with up to hundreds of inputs and eight 1080p heads (on SDI) or two heads with UHD/4K resolution.
Windows-based Cerebrum significantly reduces broadcast production workloads by enabling tasks that would previously have taken hours, to be completed in minutes. The software’s own SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) or third party protocols can support virtually every piece of broadcast equipment in a workflow.
Cerebrum enhancements being unveiled include the introduction of a new 42 button compact LCD panel, the CCP-4200B. Developed in conjunction with CTV Outside Broadcast, the panel is designed to make light work of complex multiple camera projects.
