Clare Controls has added a second industry heavyweight to its ranks in less than a week, with the appointment of Gene Marks as its new vice president of sales.
Marks’s arrival comes just days after the company added Lance Dean to its Board of Advisors. Reporting to Clare president and CEO, Brett Price, Marks will be tasked with building the sales pipeline for the company’s new ClareOne Wireless Security and Smart Home Panel and security sensor line.
He brings with him a wealth of knowledge and decades of professional experience in the security industry. With a career that began in the Chicago Fire Department, Marks fields experience with fire and burglary devices, professional security systems and perimeter access. He served most recently as business development manager at Nortek Security & Control, owner of the 2GIG brand, focused on serving security channel dealers. As a former Mayor and deputy transportation director in Illinois, Marks has worked with local, regional, state, and federal legislators regarding policy and law updates.
