ADI opens support centre in North Carolina

New 41,000sqft location for distributor of security, pro AV and low-voltage products, was strategically located in the City of Charlotte to have minimal impact on employee commutes and will house more than 180 team members

ADI Global Distribution – a  distributor of security, pro AV and low-voltage products for large contractors, installers, and resellers – has opened its new support centre at the Panorama Tower in the neighbourhood of Ballantyne, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Spanning 41,000sqft across two floors, the new facility is home to more than 180 team members representing marketing, accounting, product development, education, training, and other key departments.

Following the acquisition of Snap One, a distributor and manufacturer of smart solutions for homes and businesses, in 2024 and its integration into ADI, this site was selected to continue supporting the experienced team based in the area, while creating a modern, sustainable, and collaborative workspace that aligns with ADI’s brand and values.

Rob Aarnes, president of ADI, said: “This new space not only reflects who we are today – it’s an investment in our future. ADI (and Snap One) has had a strong and growing presence in Charlotte, and we’re proud to deepen our roots in this vibrant community. With this support centre, we’re creating an environment where our team can thrive and where we can continue delivering indispensable service, expertise, and innovation to our customers.”

The location was strategically selected to have minimal impact on employee commutes, with comparable travel times for the majority of the team. It also offers convenient access to major highways and public transportation, along with nearby restaurants, services, and green spaces to contribute to a positive day-to-day experience for employees and visitors alike.

The space houses a variety of environments to support different workstyles and needs, including individual workstations, collaboration areas, meeting rooms, huddle spaces, training room, kitchen areas, and more. Designed with sustainability and employee well-being in mind, the new office features energy-efficient sensor lighting, low-flow water fixtures, and floor-to-ceiling windows that provide abundant natural light across both floors.

To reduce waste and promote environmentally responsible practices, ADI introduced reusable dishes in the kitchen and break areas, minimixing single-use waste and promoting a culture of sustainability.

Employee feedback played a central role in shaping the workspace. The office includes height-adjustable desks for ergonomic support and flexibility, and team members voted on their preferred office chairs to ensure comfort and personalisation. Conference rooms, named after Charlotte neighbourhoods, celebrate the local community and bring regional character into the modern, open design. The site also features a figment room that creatively displays and demonstrates some of the company’s exclusive brand products.

The grand opening celebration featured a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, and team members had the opportunity to participate in guided AV demo tours, a live Q&A session, and food and refreshments throughout the event.

In addition to the new Charlotte Support Center, ADI has support centres across the globe including New York, Utah, Kentucky, Texas, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Serbia and Mexico.
