Crestron has announced a new partnership with Sonos, which enables the home sound system’s app to be seamlessly integrated with Crestron home automation systems. Homeowners can now search and stream music on their Sonos home sound system directly from Crestron touchscreens, handheld remotes and keypads, and from the Crestron app on mobile devices. They can view all of their Sonos favourites, play/pause the music, adjust the volume, view now-playing information with artwork, and add or remove zones as they move about the house.
Sonos home audio can be also integrated into personalised Crestron scenes, such as ‘Welcome Home’, whereby a single tap on a screen disarms the security system, turns on the kitchen and family room lights, adjusts the internal temperature, and starts playing great music.
