The Ci200QR and Ci200CR round in-ceiling models have been added to KEF’s selection of custom installation speakers.
The new models featured Ultra Thin Bezel designs, offering what is said to be the slimmest possible visible rim around the speaker.
The specification of the Ci200QR includes: 200mm (8.0-inch) Uni-Q driver array, which places the tweeter in the acoustic centre of the bass/mid-range cone (woofer) to allow both woofer and tweeter to act as a single, focused source of sound; 25mm (1.0-inch) aluminium dome tweeter and ‘tangerine’ waveguide; three dog-leg fixings, rather than four, for quick and easy installation; gold-plated spring-loaded binding posts; and magnetic grilles.
The Ci200CR, meanwhile, features: an asymmetrical tweeter island for wide off-axis response; 25mm (1.0-inch) aluminium dome tweeter and ‘tangerine’ waveguide; 200mm (8.0-inch) extended response bass driver; three dog-leg fixings, rather than four, for quick and easy installation; and magnetic grilles.
