Described as offering improved usability and embedded functionality, BIG PAD 2 is the second generation of Sharp’s 70in and 60in LCD interactive displays. Unveiled concurrently are two smaller interactive displays that expand Sharp’s line-up of commercial touch monitors.

BIG PAD 2 provides recognition of up to ten touch points at once and simultaneous writing by up to four people. It is claimed to be ready to use just five seconds after it is switched on, and includes a white board feature, presentation mode and movie player without the need to connect to an external PC. Also included are integrated front speakers as well as a new and improved durable glass screen which reduces fingerprints and reflection.

Data sharing is supported with Touch Display Link Software 2.0 (included in the Advanced model and an optional extra for the Standard model), which lets users share information between BIG PAD 2 and a tablet or PC, and through other offices and locations via a company’s wide or local area network.

Sharp is also launching two new Full-HD LCD touch screens, a 20in monitor with a pen digitiser for high precision design work (LL-PO202V) and a new 24in monitor with a highly sensitive touch panel (LL- S242A), designed for digital displays and in-store signage in retail, leisure and exhibition environments.
