Electro-Voice has debuted a range of new products this week at InfoComm, the first of which is its Premium Ceiling speakers. The PC6.2 and PC8.2 are the latest additions to the company’s EVID line of small-format installed audio products.
Both speakers feature a dedicated compression driver for high-frequency performance and coverage control. Simplified wiring and integrated mounting hardware allows for quicker installation into a wide range of ceiling cavities and construction formats.
Both models are suited for background music applications and distributed audio in retail spaces, restaurants, theatre and stadium concourses, and shopping centres.
The second addition to the Electro-Voice EVID portfolio is the Compact Sound speaker series, which includes subwoofer and satellite speakers for surface-mounting, subwoofer and satellite speakers for ceilings, and a pendant satellite speaker.
And lastly, the new X-Line Advance range of compact line-array loudspeakers is the result of rigorous R&D, and according to the company represents a step forward in line-array loudspeaker system design.
One of the first products to be launched under the X-Line Advance name is the X1-212/90, a compact 12in vertical line-array loudspeaker system, suited to applications such as houses of worship, corporate events and entertainment venues. The unit is approximately a third smaller than typical systems, but due to the X1’s higher output, fewer units are required for installations.
