Fohhn Focus arrays premiere at Danish industry organisation HQ

First permanent installation of German-manufacturer Fohhn Audio's new modular line array systems with beam steering at Danish industry organisation Confederation of Danish Industry, HQ.

The first permanent installation of Fohhn Audio’s new Focus Modular line array systems has been completed at the headquarters of the Confederation of Danish Industry in Copenhagen.

Fohhn’s Danish distributor, Informationstechnik of Copenhagen, assisted by Fohhn planning engineer, Frank Strohmer, handled design and installation of the new audio system for the low-energy building, which was designed with sustainability and green growth in mind.

The conference room system comprises focus Modular FMI-400 low-mid and FMI-110 high frequency modules. The systems were selected for their ability to deliver high levels of speech intelligibility and enhanced reproduction of music in a room whose reflective surfaces make for challenging acoustics. For additional low-end coverage, the Focus Modular systems have been teamed with a Fohhn Focus Sub Array comprising four active XS-20 and four passive XSP-2 subwoofers. All loudspeakers and subwoofers have been installed within the actual wall cavity, making them appear visually unobtrusive to room occupants.

For sound coverage in the building’s foyer, Fohhn Linea Focus LFI-350 electronically steerable line array systems on FreeStand supports have been combined with XS-30 active subwoofers to form a mobile system that can be used as and when required. The canteen and several smaller meeting rooms have all been equipped with Fohhn passive line source systems and ceiling loudspeakers.

In addition, the systems can be used in varying combinations and can be remotely controlled via laptop and Fohhn Audio Soft software.
