‘The most complete solution on the market’: Philips PDS reveals new videowall range

The new X-Line is designed to optimise presentations and brighter content

Philips Professional Display Solutions has introduced its latest X-Line range of videowall displays, which the company is hailing as “the most complete and consistent” videowall solution on the market.

Having offered ISE 2020 visitors a sneak peak back in February, the new 55” (55BDL3105X and 55BDL3107X) X-Line videowall range is a suitable accompaniment for larger-sized meeting and boardrooms where single panel LCD displays are not deemed sufficient, or where existing videowalls struggle to meet presentation needs. You can view AVIXA’s display/room size calculator and guidelines here.

With X-Line’s high resolution setup and Pure Colour Pro technology for optimum depths of black and high-brightness colour levels, even the most detailed Excel files and graphs can be viewed clearly in any lighting condition.

Harold Niericker, product strategist for professional displays at Philips PDS, said: “Whether it’s two panels or 100, we believe this X-Line corporate videowall is the most complete and consistent videowall solution available in today’s market.

“At Philips Professional Display Solutions, we acknowledge there are many different videowall options available in the market today, so it was important for us to design and build a solution that didn’t simply follow what’s already there. We dug deep into researching and understanding the pains and frustrations experienced using displays inside meeting rooms and boardrooms, where portraying the right image and displaying content clearly is absolutely vital. This new X-Line range addresses those issues and provides the tools to help companies present themselves in the very best light.”

The X-Line launch follows a period of intensive collaboration with and analysis of the display market (EMEA), which showed demand for digital videowall displays of 55”-59” increased by five per cent in 2019. In contrast, sales of 45”-49” fell almost 10 per cent, while those sized 60” and above dropped by 37 per cent.

The new corporate videowall panels feature optional ‘light sensors’, which, when combined with Philips PDS exclusive Pure Colour Pro technology, deliver higher luminance through custom colour temperature settings. The displays will automatically adjust to maintain high image quality, white balance and accurate colour consistency for an uncompromised experience.

The displays can also come equipped with optional ‘Human Motion’ sensors, which turns display power up and down, depending on room activity – perfect for companies seeking to reduce running costs and conserve energy.

“Natural light is a common enemy of any display,” added Niericker. “Sure, you can spend time closing curtains, adjusting your screen or even asking people to sit in specific seats – but at Philips Professional Display Solutions, we’d rather you just concentrate on what you do best and let our displays take care of the conditions, whether its natural or indoor light.”

Consistent with other displays in the Philips PDS product portfolio, the X-Line corporate videowall range comes equipped with vast levels of command and remote management controls, harnessing widely-used standards for corporate environments, including Philips Professional Display Solutions’ exclusive CMND platform.

Chris Colpaert, general manager for EMEA, AP and NA at Philips PDS, concluded: “These models are the perfect addition to our X-Line range, which now covers the ideal videowall displays for either video content or presentations. Bringing an additional layer to our displays with dedicated features for corporate and meeting room environments, including our new B-Line professional TVs, C-Line interactive displays and Q-Line displays with screen sharing, they’re the latest example of Philips Professional Display Solutions bringing products to customers designed explicitly to meet vertically aligned requirements. At the right times, at competitive price points and with a wraparound service to meet their needs.”
