Christie has announced the FHD493-XE 49in extremely narrow bezel display, an addition to its Extreme Series of high-performance LCD videowall models.
Featuring a 1.8mm combined bezel width, advanced panel matching and Christie Phoenix EP compatibility, the FHD493-XE is targeted at 24/7 high-performance, near-seamless videowall applications.
Advanced panel matching ensures that the colour and brightness of each panel comes calibrated, eliminating many of the image adjustments typically required when installing videowalls. The integrated electronics support videowall scaling up to a 10 x 10 configuration and 4K multistream transport across up to four panels. Additionally, Smart Light Control automatically adjusts the brightness of each panel across the videowall for uniformity and consistent lifetime performance.
The Christie Phoenix EP embedded processing solution can be installed directly into the FHD493-XE via an OPS slot to process network sources, and decode and manage video and data sources.
“Christie’s Extreme Series of displays in 49in and 55in sizes offer customers the flexibility to tailor the size and shape of a videowall to best fit their space,” said John Dixon, senior product manager, Christie. “The 1.8mm combined bezel width, in conjunction with 24/7 operability, make these displays ideal for control rooms, retail and digital signage applications.”
When used with a Christie ML20 mount, the FDH493-XE meets ADA depth requirements, making it suitable for videowalls in public spaces, or where space is limited.
Like the other Extreme Series displays, the FHD493-XE is backed by Christie’s service, support and three-year warranty. It is available in from July 2018.
