Midwich has announced a European distribution agreement with video over IP solutions provider BirdDog. The agreement will see BirdDog products made available to Midwich Group’s channel partners through Holdan (a Midwich Group company), and takes effect in the UK and Ireland and Europe from today.
BirdDog is a developer of embedded Network Device Interface (NDI®) hardware which has been integrated into HD and 4K broadcast video converters, robotic pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) cameras, and a suite of software products. The range includes products recommended by Zoom Video Communications, Inc., the world’s first full NDI® PTZ Cameras, PTZ Controller Keyboard, “the world’s smallest 4K NDI encoders and decoders” (pictured), wallplates, and SDM modules.
As we featured in PTZ-related news earlier this week, NDI technology allows high-quality video and audio sources to be shared bi-directionally across a network.

“We are delighted and proud to be appointed the exclusive European distributor for BirdDog. We have admired the expertise and reputation of BirdDog for some time and look forward to working together in the future,” said Allan Leonhardsen, managing director of Holdan.
“We recognised some time ago that NDI is a natural adjunct to our portfolio, and we are sure BirdDog’s technology and Holdan’s expertise will accelerate our headway in providing technical solutions through Midwich Group’s reseller channel across Europe.”
Eamon Drew, co-founder and CMO at BirdDog, added, “We are super excited to start working with Holdan and the Midwich Group. We’ve enjoyed good success in the UK, Ireland, and continental Europe already and we feel the unparalleled channel reach the Midwich Group have will take us to the next level.”
