Dirac Live ART included in miniDSP’s new Tide16 processor

New 16-channel processor ships with Dirac Live Active Room Treatment, Room Correction and Bass Control technologies as standard

Dirac has announced that its Dirac Live Active Room Treatment (ART) technology is included in the new Tide16, a 16-channel processor from miniDSP designed for residential and professional audio applications.

The Tide16 ships with the full Dirac Live suite, including Dirac Live ART, Dirac Live Room Correction and Dirac Live Bass Control. According to Dirac, the platform is intended for audiophiles, integrators and system designers seeking greater optimisation and control in stereo, immersive audio and home cinema environments.

Introduced in 2023, Dirac Live ART uses the company’s Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MIMO) technology to transform speakers within a system into a coordinated acoustic control network. The technology is designed to manage low-frequency resonances, reduce decay times and improve bass consistency across multiple listening positions.

The Tide16 supports up to 16 configurable output channels, enabling system configurations including 9.1.6 immersive audio layouts. Connectivity options include HDMI, Toslink, USB Audio, Bluetooth, balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA inputs, alongside 16 balanced XLR outputs.

The Tide16 ships with licences for Dirac Live Room Correction, Dirac Live Bass Control and Dirac Live Active Room Treatment included as standard.
