PK Sound has added Sarasota, Florida-based Platinum Live Productions (PLP) to the PK Alliance, its network of production companies using PK’s robotic line source systems, following PLP’s investment in the T8 system. PLP joins a growing group of Florida partners using the company’s Multi-Axis Robotics, and can draw on their inventory for larger projects.
The initial investment comprises 12 T8 elements and eight T218 subwoofers. The compact T8 system is designed to give crews multi-axis control of vertical and horizontal dispersion for each deployment, aiming to reduce reflections and noise spill beyond the intended audience area, the company says.

Founded in 2016, PLP provides live production and integration services for clients across the US, from concerts and festivals to corporate events.
PLP also plans to work with PK Sound on training, demonstrations and special events from its newly expanded headquarters, giving regional production professionals the chance to hear the system first-hand.
Anthony Congdon, owner of Platinum Live Productions, said: “Being able to walk each room or venue and now adjust the experience in real time with the .dynamics MOVE app makes it even easier to bring our vision into focus. We can precisely configure and fine-tune coverage while walking the room from a mobile phone. This ensures every attendee gets the exact same powerful, memorable experience – the finishing touch to delivering something exceptional, the only way I know how.”
Darryl Ross, US partner and applications support at PK Sound, added: “We’re excited to work alongside a technically skilled, next-generation company like Platinum Live Productions. Anthony and his team immediately recognised the acoustic and operational advantages of our robotic technology – from more precise coverage and reduced noise spill to faster, safer deployment. We look forward to supporting their growth in Florida and introducing more of the market to Sound That Moves.”
