Biamp has expanded its Workplace Designer software with support for the Devio UCX conferencing platform and BMA 360D ceiling-tile beamforming microphones, enabling users to design and document more complete meeting room systems within a single environment.
The update adds support for all three Devio UCX compute devices and compatible peripherals, including microphones and amplifiers, allowing users to plan complete conferencing deployments and calculate configurations for conferencing bars with expansion microphones and speakers.
Workplace Designer also now supports the BMA 360D throughout the full design workflow, including automatic microphone model selection based on ceiling tile configuration, microphone placement and coverage planning, equipment calculations and design documentation.
According to Biamp, the additions are intended to simplify room planning, improve consistency across deployments and support standardised meeting room designs.
