With a background in business and marketing, Damien has successfully applied his expertise across multiple sectors, showcasing exceptional adaptability skills while bringing new perspectives. “Joining Smode Tech is very exciting,” he said. “I am looking forward to embracing this challenge and participate in the development of a company that prioritises its human-centred approach and upholds strong values.”

Jean-François Ballanger comes from a technical background as a cameraman. His primary responsibilities will include sales operations in France and French-speaking countries, product demos and relationship building with Smode Tech’s longstanding partners.

Ballanger’s enthusiasm in joining the company is fuelled by a shared set of values with the company: “I enjoy working in a small, close-knit team that fosters mutual respect and collaboration. Smode Tech is also mindful of its environmental impact and the team’s dedication to delivering high-quality products that consistently meet user expectation truly resonates with me.”

Both hires were also drawn to the company’s software capabilities. “There is something magical about SMODE. Its ability to play with images in real time is remarkable”, enthused Ballanger. Gaillard is equally impressed, stating: “Despite not having a technical background, the capabilities of SMODE are fascinating, and it’s easy to see the possibilities and advantages this software brings to users.”

Francis Maes, the CEO of Smode Tech commented about the new hires: “What strikes me about both Jean-François and Damien is their shared commitment to the values that Smode Tech holds dear – a human-centred approach, a broader consciousness towards positive impact, and a relentless drive for quality in everything we do.

“At Smode Tech, we are driven by our passion for real-time imagery, and the magic that our software brings to our users. The addition of Jean-François and Damien to our team strengthens our long-term vision and commitment of maintaining our distinctive software development method while providing the highest quality service to our users.”
