NETGEAR has appointed Luca Marinelli as head of sales Europe, overseeing the development of the company’s enterprise customer portfolio and channel partnerships in the region.
Marinelli brings extensive experience in the technology industry, having held senior roles at Citrix, Microsoft, Cisco, Exclusive Networks, Check Point and Alludo. He spent nine years at Cisco, becoming managing director of channels for the EMEA region, and seven years at Microsoft in Italy where he became senior director enterprise major and global accounts. He subsequently joined Exclusive Networks Italia as CEO and general manager. At Citrix, Marinelli was VP partners & field marketing for EMEA, and at Alludo he ran the EMEA & ANZ regions.
The company says Marinelli will be instrumental in driving the next phase of its channel strategy, expanding collaborations with partners and strengthening its managed service providers (MSP) ecosystem. Building on an enterprise networking portfolio recently enhanced with the integration of Exium’s SASE security solutions, he is tasked with accelerating NETGEAR’s growth in the small and medium enterprise (SME) segment.
Eric Law, vice president, worldwide sales at NETGEAR, said: “Luca brings an impressive background steeped in the European tech industry and he has a deep knowledge of how to build a loyal and proactive channel, support customers and inspire sales teams to achieve great results. He is experienced in delivering strong leadership alignment and we are confident that Luca will be instrumental in driving our vision for enterprise companies across Europe.”
Luca Marinelli added: “I am delighted to join NETGEAR at such a pivotal point for the company. As NETGEAR expands its business, I will be looking to develop a sales team focused on success and best practice, working in tandem with our channel to deliver high-powered, memorable experiences to customers.”
