T3x ready to assume control

The T3x remote control is making its first appearance at ISE, combining a 3.5in colour LCD touchscreen with a sleek industrial design and some very useful on-board functionality.

The remote features programmable soft-touch buttons for quick access to common control functions, and four buttons with interchangeable keycaps.

The unit’s edge-to-edge touchscreen provides users with improved screen swiping, while haptic feedback delivers a subtle vibration as a tactile confirmation when pressing touchscreen buttons.

Additional features include integrated grip sensors to keep the T3x awake during use, an accelerometer to provide instant-on control and control via movements, and a built-in camera and microphone for intercom functionality directly on the remote control.

RTI says the T3X has been designed for simple integration into any installation, with the controller featuring the company’s dual-RF platform.

This supports both 433MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4GHz ZigBee for bi-directional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics.

Further control capability comes via the integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet, which offers enhanced two-way control including dynamic graphics, viewing IP cameras, and wireless program updates.

In addition, RTI is showcasing its T2i and T2x remote controls with ergonomic features such as a flush-mount, edge-to-edge touchscreen. The T2i and T2x also support RTI’s dual RF platform for one-way control or bidirectional communication, as well as featuring WiFi support.
