New HDMI cables announced

Two new series of HDMI cables are being introduced at ISE 2017 by Xantech.

“The Xantech brand is synonymous with IR and connectivity solutions for residential and commercial applications,” said Neal Ellsworth, product manager, new initiatives at Core Brands.

“Today we extend Xantech’s reputation for value-added innovation to a product category that integrators are using on almost every project. The two new Xantech HDMI Cable series deliver the high performance value that integrators need for the growing number of video installations they work on every day.”

The new HDMI cables are available in eight lengths: 0.6, 1, 1.5, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7.5 metres. Both series are HDMI 2.0-compliant with 4K @ 50/60 and enable up to 32 audio channels.

The cables, with calculated bandwidth of up to 46Gbps, also feature 1536kHz audio sample frequencies with dual viewing, multi-stream audio, CEC extensions, and include 21:9 aspect ratios with dynamic auto lip-sync.

The Xantech flagship series delivers 4K 60 4:4:4 resolution capability with a pixel rate of 600MHz, enabling transmission of High Dynamic Range (HDR) video with a bandwidth faster than 18Gbps at 4K@50/60 (2160p), which is four times the clarity of 1080p/60 video resolution.

Its C-Grip locking connector technology is said to resist more than 25 pounds of force, which Xantech says virtually eliminates truck rolls due to loose cables.
