New HDBaseT distribution amplifiers have CAT purring

CAT’s whiskers: Atlona’s AT-HDR-CAT-4 HDBaseT distribution amp

Atlona is to launch its next generation HDMI-to-HDBaseT distribution amplifiers, the AT-HDR-CAT series, at ISE, alongside a new Omega Series two-input switcher.

The AT-HDR-CAT is said to deliver superior video performance, including visually lossless compression with no latency for HDR and 4K/60 4:4:4 video signal extension over HDBaseT.

The four new models are suitable for long-distance signal distribution, and all models offer sophisticated integration capabilities including HDMI pass-through, audio de-embedding, EDID management, CEC display control, RS232 and IR control extension, remote power for receivers, and HDBaseT link testing.

The new AT-OME-MH21-CP Omega Series switcher enables meeting participants to charge their devices without additional power supplies or cables, and features HDMI and USB-C inputs, advanced integration capabilities, USB-C device charging, and a built-in USB 3.0 hub for videoconferencing peripherals or touch displays. Useful for small meeting spaces, it provides USB data connectivity and up to 60W of charging capability for laptops and mobile devices. It includes automatic display control, audio de-embedding and automatic input selection that intelligently switches between inputs when sources are added or removed.
