Analog Way: LiveCore expands with Ascender 16

A new multi-screen seamless switcher is the latest addition to Analog Way’s LiveCore platform. The Ascender 16 allows LiveCore models to display either two, four, or six true seamless layers per output.

It has 12 inputs with 42 source plugs (6 HDMI, 9 DVI-I, 3 DisplayPort, 12 3G/HD/SD-SDI and 12 Universal Analog), and can handle any source from composite video, up to 2560 x 1600. It outputs a variety of formats, including HDTV, computer formats up to 2560 x 1600, and even 4K (an optional feature supporting 3840 x 2160 and 4096 x 2160 resolutions).

Ascender 16 includes an independent dual-link output for monitoring, with a Live Source Mosaic layout. The product delivers varied display configurations (mixer, hybrid, hard edge and soft edge), and can display two true seamless scaled layers per output, with 100 memory slots available to store frames or logos. Layers can be controlled individually in time and transition, and fully resized. When one output is disabled, its layers can be added to another, so that eight layers on a single output is possible.

Users can link two units, with inputs and outputs shared and added, offering a 24 8+2 Scaled Seamless Matrix with two live Mosaic Previews, 84 input plugs, 100 frames and logos and 32 scalers. To double only the output capabilities, the LiveCore Output Expander can be added.

Ascender 16 can be controlled via LiveCore’s Web Remote Control Software, Analog Way’s Vertige remote console, or AMX and Crestron 2 or 3-Series systems. Android and iOS apps are also available.
