Icron is showing its Polaris 7044, a 4×4 USB 3-2-1 matrix designed to enable any host to connect to, and switch between, one or more devices. Polaris supports USB 3.0 (5Gbps), 2.0, and 1.1 devices while powering up to 15W, as well as offering up to 24 possible configurations.
It can be controlled via RS232, web GUI or API servers hosted on the device, providing what the company describes as extremely flexible USB connectivity.
Polaris’ four inputs and outputs are what makes it so flexible in its operation, added Icron, and unlike many other USB switchers, it can be used to tie any one host to any device seamlessly.
