ISE 2017: LG to showcase OLED and signage solutions

LG Electronics is to exhibit an enhanced OLED product offering at ISE alongside new developments in digital signage and display technology for various industries. The company will highlight key products and solutions in retail, education, and finance, as well as other verticals such as hospitality and outdoor.

Visitors to LG’s stand will be greeted by a videowall comprised of 55in panels featuring one of the narrowest even panel bezels on the market. This will be flanked by two of LG’s Ultra Stretch displays to create an immersive welcome.

LG’s OLED technology ensures a rich visual experience with absolute blacks and intense colours achieved through the self-lighting pixels, which will be showcased in a bespoke OLED zone on the stand. This OLED zone will feature curved and dual-sided OLED displays, LG’s wallpaper OLED display – a unique proposition for the manufacturer – and other brand new applications for OLED to propel it into more display categories.

LG is embracing the increasing adoption of unique formats for digital signage displays by showcasing its Ultra Stretch displays across the stand with applications like retail and transportation supported. The display is rendered in 58:9 format, which allows for truly dynamic content or even four-divided Picture-by-Picture content where the screen is divided into four independent parts each supporting different content. This is made possible thanks to LG’s SuperSign media editor for content management, allowing end users to easily edit images or video clips of original content to fit the display format.

Within the retail and digital signage section, key products include the UHD 98in display, a fantastic seamless alternative to the common 2×2 videowall in flagship store locations. LG’s bespoke Up-scaling and Super Resolution technology enhances the quality of full HD content to nearly-UHD quality and renders UHD content in absolute clarity. LG will also be showing its complete UHD portfolio of IPS technology-based professional displays from 98in down to 49in, as well as its window display for retail applications, where high-brightness is required due to exposure to sunlight. For outdoor applications, where durability and sustainability of brightness levels over time are key requirements, LG will showcase a line-up of display solutions.

Additionally, LG will offer a tailored area for the hospitality market, with a selection of products for the hotel sector. The OLED Hotel TV takes centre-stage for high-end and luxury applications. LG’s 65in UHD SMART Hotel TV and Pro:Centric Direct solution will also be on show, delivering leading hospitality solutions for this market.

Lastly there will be a “WebOS Partner” area on the stand, designed for systems integrators to showcase their own ground-breaking solutions using the platform to provide real-world business cases for LG’s product portfolio.
