Go behind the scenes of major AV installations in Barcelona. Applications to join ISE’s most extensive set of Tech Tours are now open. Let us know your choice(s) of tour within 48 hours.

With no fewer than nine tours taking place over five days, the ISE 2024 Tech Tours programme, produced in association with the Catalan AV Cluster, offers an unrivalled opportunity to experience AV technology applied in practice and to talk to the experts involved in its deployment. 

ISE Tech Tours are free of charge, and demand is always high. You may choose up to three tours in order of preference – applications are now open and will close at midnight CET on Friday. 

Successful applicants will be notified no later than Friday 19 January.

Tour schedule 

  • Tuesday 30 January, 11:00-14:00: First Official Exhibition of the 37th America’s Cup Barcelona 2024

The new America’s Cup Experience aims to enlighten the public about this historic yacht race before it comes to shore in August 2024.  

  • Tuesday 30 January, 15:00-17:00: Plató Nou Virtual Production Studio

Merging authentic and digital worlds in real time, Plató Nou Virtual Production Studio will present technological innovations such as large LED volume, production lighting, media server and processing.  

  • Wednesday 31 January, 10:00-11:30: Cines Filmax Gran Vía

Cines Filmax Gran Via is the only cinema in the world that has three 4DX screens in the same multiplex, together with one ScreenX for the ultimate in cinematic experience. 

  • Wednesday 31 January, 12:30-14:30: Time travelling virtual reality with IDEAL

Visit Tutankhamun, The Immersive Experience at IDEAL Barcelona (pictured) and discover the history of an absolutely magical civilisation from which we have inherited many cultural elements.

  • Thursday 1 February, 09:00-11:00: Data driven art at Gaudí’s Casa Batlló

Hear how in front of 65,000 visitors, AI driven artwork by digital artist Refik Anadol was AI mapped on to the 32m x 14.5m façade for a single evening in 2023.

  • Thursday 1 February, 12:30-16:00: Integration of the operating room

Get the unique chance to step inside a real surgical operating room at a top Barcelona hospital to learn how audiovisual technology can help improve and save lives.

  • Friday 2 February, 09:00-11:00: L’illa Mall Barcelona

Showcasing the architectural and design wonders of the renovated L’illa Mall, including the innovative lighting concept integrated into the dynamic ceiling. 

  • Friday 2 February, 12:00-14:00: Barcelona Supercomputing Center – New MareNostrum 5

Discover the emblematic MareNostrum 5 – the next-generation quantum supercomputer at the new 12,000sqm headquarters of the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC).

  • Saturday 3 February, 11:00-13:00: Barça Immersive Tour, Camp Nou

Discover the technology inside a 500sqm immersive space that features a ground-breaking 360° production, utilising deepfake technology to recreate football legends like Cruyff, Iniesta, and Messi.
