Imagine a world in which an IT system could identify not only that there is a person in front of a product display stand, but could also tell you when they were there, their gender, and even whether they were in a single or mixed gender group. This world already exists, thanks to the software engineers at Grassfish of Austria.
The company’s portfolio ranges from traditional digital signage to automated sales, such as virtual shelf applications or interactive vending machines. They also provide training and consulting, and smart store applications: making stores intelligent by using sensor integrated digital touchpoints for customer engagement or supporting the in-store staff.
CEO Roland Grassberger told the ISE Daily that they recently worked with mobile phone company Orange to produce a virtual product stand, where customers to a retail store can browse products and get information.
Grassfish was founded in 2006, and, Grassberger added: “is now the number one platform within the DACH region. We work throughout Europe and are very proud to call brands like BMW, Orange and Lufthansa our customers.”
