First ISE appearance for Massio

Appearing at ISE for the first time is the Massio ControlPad Series from AMX. The company claims it combines the installation flexibility and affordability of a wall- or lectern-mounted keypad, with the device and room control capabilities of a central controller.

As a result, AMX believes that Massio is an ideal control interface for classrooms, conference rooms, or any room where simple device and environment control is needed in an equally powerful yet easy to manage user interface.

The AMX Rapid Project Maker (RPM)-configured Massio ControlPads are available in six-button and eight-button configurations that each feature a built-in AMX Controller to give users the ability to control and automate room AV, lighting, HVAC and so on.

Both models are also said to be extremely easy to navigate, with simple, LED-backlit pushbuttons that glow blue to indicate activity. Massio 8-Button ControlPads also include a rotary control knob with backlit level indicators to enable quick rotary adjustments of volume, lighting or other control aspects.

Available in black or white, Massio’s design was inspired by AMX Modero X Series Touch Panels, allowing them to blend in to any décor, even executive boardrooms. Integrated PoE connectivity is said to simplify installation, eliminating the need for a separate power cable and making Massio connected devices instantly manageable.

Massio ControlPads are also claimed to be as simple to configure as they are to use, as they can be configured using the AMX Rapid Project Maker (RPM) cloud-based configuration tool with no programming required. The company claims that, with RPM, integrating a Massio ControlPad with AMX Resource Management Suite (RMS) software for monitoring and maintenance takes less than a minute.
