Consistent intelligible emergency notification from Community

The TT-1020 Emergency Notification Tunnel Loudspeaker has been introduced by Community. Designed to provide consistent intelligible emergency notification, the TT-1020 is claimed to deliver precise pattern control and excellent performance in enclosed linear spaces and other highly reverberant environments.

To meet the performance goals for long projection emergency notification, the system uses a single high power purpose-built MF transducer to offer accurate signal reproduction and very low distortion. Community’s proprietary 2in exit compression driver is said to deliver high intelligibility at the elevated sound pressure levels necessary to overcome high ambient noise and reflective acoustic conditions. This, says Community, makes it ideal for road and rolling stock tunnels and similar acoustically challenging environments. The large-format waveguide is designed to ensure precision directivity control throughout the entire voice band.

The driver’s inert materials, combined with the horn’s fire-resistant fibreglass construction and 316 stainless steel external hardware, make the entire device resistant to potentially caustic environments. The TT-1020 has an IEC 60529 IP66 rating and IEC 60695-11-10:2013 V-0 classification.

Customers can order the 100V system configured for 50W or 100W operation.
