InfoComm 2026 Women’s Breakfast to focus on building trust

American journalist Mariana Atencio will keynote the AVIXA Women's Council annual breakfast on June 18 in Las Vegas, exploring how leaders can operate effectively in an AI-driven world

AVIXA’s Women’s Council is hosting its annual Women’s Breakfast at InfoComm 2026, with keynote speaker Mariana Atencio – a Peabody Award-winning journalist, former NBC and Univision anchor, and author of Perfectly You – addressing how leaders can build trust in an era of AI-generated content and curated narratives.

Atencio’s keynote, titled “Real Matters: Building Trust in an Unreal World”, will be followed by an interactive Q&A and meet-and-greet. She will draw on her experience as a journalist and founder of GoLike to offer strategies for building team resilience and communicating clearly during periods of rapid change.

Jennifer Weaver, senior director, USA, at AVIXA, said: “Today’s leaders are navigating an environment where authenticity is both harder to demonstrate and more critical than ever. Mariana brings a powerful, timely perspective on how leaders can build trust, foster engagement, and create cultures where people and ideas thrive.”

The Women’s Council is AVIXA’s largest council, with more than 1,200 members, and is sponsored by Shure. The breakfast takes place on June 18 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, during InfoComm 2026, which runs June 13-19 with exhibits on June 17-19.
