ILLENIUM to launch new album during Sphere residency

Grammy-nominated artist will play six-shows at Las Vegas venue, which boasts the world’s highest resolution LED display that wraps up, over and around the audience

Electronic artist ILLENIUM will debut his forthcoming album Odyssey with a six-show residency at Sphere in Las Vegas in March, leveraging the venue’s LED and audio systems for a fully immersive experience. ILLENIUM Presents Odyssey at Sphere will utilise the venue’s 268m pixel wraparound LED display – billed as the world’s highest-resolution screen – and Sphere Immersive Sound, a concert-grade spatial audio system powered by HOLOPLOT.

Sphere, built by Sphere Entertainment at a reported cost of $2.3bn, stands 366ft tall and 516ft wide, and is promoted as the largest spherical structure in the world.

Berlin-based animation studio Woodblock, known for cinematic storytelling and immersive design, is handling the creative and technical production of the show.

Music from the show will include recent singles “Forever” with Tom Grennan and Alna, and “In My Arms” with HAYLA, the latter of which has garnered over 9.1m Spotify streams.

ILLENIUM said: “Odyssey’ is a journey of self-discovery and acceptance. It’s a moment where fans feel understood, a space where we’re all together and present for that same emotional escape. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to this experience, especially at Sphere.”

Pre-sale tickets for the shows on March 5-7 and March 12-14 open September 23, with general sales beginning September 26. Click here.
