Uniguest Sports Hub deployed at Chesterfield FC

IPTV and digital signage management platform installed across 40 screens – a mix of Bendac LED displays and Samsung TVs – at English League Two football club's stadium, enabling matchday updates and sponsorship opportunities

Uniguest’s Sports Hub platform has been deployed across approximately 40 screens – including Bendac LED screens by the pitch and in the lounge, and Samsung TVs across the wider venue – at Chesterfield Football Club’s stadium, bringing IPTV and digital signage management into a single interface. The system covers concourses, hospitality lounges, offices and reception areas at the English League Two club’s SMH Group Stadium.

The platform is designed to allow the club to manage content, layouts and scheduling centrally while maintaining flexibility across different areas of the venue. Sky Bright Box integration enables different screens to display different channels simultaneously, while event triggers allow goals, substitutions and 50/50 draw results to be pushed across the screen network in real time.

Beyond matchdays, Sports Hub supports the club’s commercial operations. Hospitality suites can display tailored branded content for conferences and corporate events, while integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms allows idle meeting room screens to function as branded digital signage.

Ashley Kirk, chairman of Chesterfield FC, said: “There are two sides to having a successful football club. There’s what happens on the pitch, but off it we knew there was investment needed in the ground. We wanted fans to feel proud of the stadium as well as the team.”

Kirk added: “Sponsors recognise they’re getting in front of 8,500 people every Saturday, and that’s powerful. It took a bit of investment, but the return has already been very, very good.”

James Keen, executive vice president of marketing at Uniguest, said: “From stadia and arenas to community venues and clubs, platforms need to scale to meet both engagement and budgetary goals. Chesterfield FC is a great example of how teams lower down the pyramid can create a high-quality, connected experience for their supporters.”

Chesterfield FC was founded in 1866 and is one of England’s oldest football clubs. The club says attendances have more than doubled in recent seasons.
