Pexip has announced the opening of a new office in Beijing, China having recording strong growth in 2015, and targeting further expansion into the enterprise communications market in 2016.
“We are very excited to announce the opening of our new office in China, central to Pexip’s growing presence in the Greater China market,” said Åsmund O. Fodstad, Pexip CEO. “We have experienced tremendous growth in the region, seeing some very large customers come on board with Pexip over the past two years, and with continued strong demand for our Pexip Infinity platform.“
The newly opened office holds several demonstration rooms, offices and work desks, and is designed to welcome customers and partners for both product demonstrations, and training and education sessions. The new Beijing office and operations is run by long-time industry veteran Alex Lee, formerly of Tandberg, SGI, and Compaq. Lee commented: “We are very pleased to open the Beijing office, and strengthening the organisation here. We have already built a strong user base in China, and see continued strong demand for our Infinity platform.”
Pexip recently unveiled the addition of enabling Dynamic Hybrid Cloud to the Pexip Infinity platform, which allows an on-premises installation of Pexip Infinity to burst to an IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) cloud when on-premise capacity is about to be exceeded.
“The strong demand we have experienced in 2015 has continued into 2016,” continued Fodstad, “We are looking to expand both in team size and locations throughout the year in order to support our customers in the best possible way – locally, and in local languages.”
