Panasonic releases new pair of HD displays

The TH-42LF20E and TH-47PF20E are said to be suitable for airports, train stations, shopping centres, schools and restaurant environments.

Two new full HD displays, the TH-42LF20E and TH-47PF20E, have been launched by Panasonic.

Said to offer wide viewing angles, the two new lightweight LCD displays are 42in and 47in models suitable for a broad range of digital signage applications. The slim design of the displays – 101mm thickness with an 18mm bezel – allows installation in virtually any location.

The screens offer high-brightness and 700cd/sqm operation from an IPS panel capable of wide viewing angles. They are suitable for bright locations and high-traffic areas. Panasonic’s fanless design is said to eliminate dust build-up and lowers operating noise – factors that often limit the range of mounting options for displays of this type.

Power consumption on the TH-42LF20E and TH-47PF20E can be controlled automatically as built-in sensors detect ambient lighting and automatically adjust the backlight brightness to match the viewing environment.
