The new range from NEC Display Solutions commences with the NEC MultiSync V321 and V461 displays. The successors to the NEC MultiSync xx15 series are said to be ideal for the entry-level digital and retail segment, and incorporate a high-quality S-PVA panel, control via LAN as well as RS-232, and an HDMI interface.
Notable features of the new model include: the ability to control displays easily over the network via LAN connection; compatibility with all other NEC public display series regarding OSD structure and RS-232/LAN commands; and overheating protection to guarantee smooth operation and a long service life.
As a result, says NEC, the V Series “satisfies all the requirements for simple to medium digital and retail signage applications in which the displays do not operate for 24 hours at a stretch or are designed for mobile use”.
Available now, both units are offered with a three-year warranty, including backlights, and arrive with recommended prices of £535 for the V321 and £1,065 for the V461 (both inclusive of VAT).
Simon Jackson, vice president, Northern Europe, NEC Display Solutions, told IE: “The V Series public displays are targeted at customers who are looking for a cost-effective entry into the digital signage market. Incorporated with simple and easy-to-use signage software and network connectivity, the V series will provide any small to medium-sized business with an easy opportunity to get started in digital signage.”
