As part of its work on the project, Munro had to ensure that The Lexi cinema’s acoustics satisfied the highest standards of Dolby Digital Cinema Sound.
With a total seating capacity of 80, including a private VIP gallery for 15, the Lexi is set to be utilised for both private and corporate use. Work was completed on the site on October 3.
Specified and installed by Munro Acoustics, the cinema’s sound system comprises a Dynaudio Acoustics 5.1 surround sound array, powered by MC2 Audio amplifiers. Crossovers are handled by TC Digital.
Munro Acoustics’s Chris Glover told II: “Having seen a film there yesterday I would say that it is probably the best cinema in the world at the moment, [incorporating a] state of the art digital projector and studio quality sound.”
