Midas PRO6 audio console for northern Europe’s largest concert hall

Denmark’s busiest concert hall complex, the renowned Musikhuset Aarhus, has invested in a Midas PRO6 along with a DL351 Modular stage box and two DL431 mic splitters, to meet the high demands of sound quality within the venue.

Denmark’s busiest concert hall complex, the renowned Musikhuset Aarhus, has invested in a Midas PRO6 along with a DL351 Modular stage box and two DL431 mic splitters, to meet the high demands of sound quality within the venue.

Midas’ Danish distributor Matrix Sales (previously Signal Audio) supplied and installed the equipment at the Musikhuset Aarhus — which, at more than 35,000sqm in area, is the largest concert house in Northern Europe.
Jonas Knive, Musikhuset Aarhus’s technical director said: “The first thing that strikes me during the testing of PRO6 system is the unique user interface, which really invites you to use your ears. The interface with POP and VCA groups makes it quick and easy to navigate between several channels and ensures quick access to top priority channels. This, combined with the mixer’s very high and distinct sound quality, forms a really good foundation for an excellent end result.”

Long-term tenants of the Aarhus Musikhuset that will benefit from the new system include The Danish National Opera, The Danish Royal Academy of Music and Aarhus Symphony.

Morten Laulund Uldbæk of Matrix Sales commented: “When looking into a new investment of an additional digital console, it was a clear demand from the client that the console would have to live up to very high demands in terms of sound quality and ease of use. Another top priority was having active splitters included in the system. This made the PRO6 system with two DL431 mic splitters the clear choice. Since Musikhuset Aarhus already owns a Heritage 2000, the addition of this new Midas Digital system brings even more flexibility for meeting engineers’ demands.”
