Allen & Heath has announced a partnership with Audio-Technica that is designed to bring extended functionality and integrated control of Audio-Technica microphone and wireless products to Allen & Heath’s AHM Audio Matrix Processors.
The integration is aimed at corporate, hospitality, education, and house of worship applications. When used with the ATND1061 Beamforming Ceiling Array Microphone, AHM processors are said to enable control and monitoring of features including mute, preset recall and saving, Automatic Echo Cancellation, and Automatic Gain Control. With Audio-Technica’s ESW series wireless products, AHM can control mute and high-pass filter operation and display battery level information.
Additional functionality can be configured through AHM System Manager software and Allen & Heath’s cross-platform Custom Control app. The integration also ensures status awareness across the system – mute LEDs, for example, are said to display simultaneously on both the AHM processor panel and the microphone units themselves.
Matt Markgraf, global strategic partnerships and alliance manager at Audio-Technica, said: “This collaboration with Allen & Heath connects Audio-Technica microphone data into the AHM processor ecosystem, simplifying control, enabling flexible monitoring, and enhancing programmable room behaviour around real-time conditions.”
Samantha Potter, install and commercial audio manager at Allen & Heath, added: “Partnering with Audio-Technica made sense for a number of reasons. We’re hoping that with these new features, customers and users can have more access to the tools and brands they love without making concessions or overcomplicating the final design.”
