Leyard Europe helps Frandroid’s new TV studio daily tech news

Paris-based French news platform recently acquired a Leyard VEM1.8 LED solution, installed by Solutions Audiovisuelles (SAV)

Paris-based French news platform Frandroid recently acquired a Leyard VEM1.8 LED solution, installed by Solutions Audiovisuelles (SAV). The new LED display is part of the Frandroid’s new web TV studio, which was created to further expand the company’s global viewership.

“Given Frandroid’s reputation as one of the foremost platforms for delivering the latest in tech news, we were thrilled when they reached out to us,” said Sylvain Piquois, key account manager at SAV “The brief was clear-cut, as they were seeking a reputable company to supply an LED solution for their brand new web TV studio in Paris.”

The VEM Series’ flexible cabinet design is said to enable easy formation of three- or four-sided shapes, making it “ideal” for creative display applications, with its six-axis alignment features ensuring the video wall can be “perfectly aligned and seamless”.

“We had to construct the screen at a precise 90-degree angle while still ensuring an optimal viewing experience,” continued Piquois. “With the full support of the Leyard team, who worked closely with us throught the process, we achieved a perfect 90-degree display with zero millimetre gap.”

Arnaud Gelineau, creative producer & team manager at Frandroid, added: “My experience of collaborating with the Leyard and SAV teams has been extremely satisfactory and professional,” . From our first contact with Xavier [Guillermain, France Zone Manager at Leyard], I was enthusiastic about the presentation of the different technologies in their showroom. His technical mastery and in-depth explanations played a decisive role in our choice of supplier. This meeting established a climate of trust.

“To this day, our regular use of the LED screen remains at the heart of our activities, especially during the live broadcast of our shows on Twitch, which involve our three media channels. To meet our production needs, we connected the screen to a fully remote-controlled PC. This approach has automated all operations, simplifying the screen’s start-up and the display of content corresponding to each programme. The goal was to ensure absolute transparency in use.”

At the end of June, the studio went on air for the first time. After visiting Frandroid’s offices to ensure the LED display was functioning well, Piquois said that the client was exceptionally pleased with its performance.

“It was a fantastic project to be part of, and Leyard has been with us every step of the way, from pre-sales to project management,” he concluded. “Leyard’s VEM solution is a perfect fit for the studio and fulfills all the team’s objectives. The pixel pitch provides a wide viewing angle while boasting a creative cabinet structure design. Overall, it’s a perfect ten for teamwork, and the Frandroid team can now enjoy their high-tech web TV studio equipped with the latest LED technology.”
