Cloud Electronics intros mixer/amp/media player

The MA60MEDIA (pictured) is said to suit applications in retail, hospitality, licensed premises and other entertainment markets. Combining the “reliability and proven versatility” of Cloud mixer-amplifiers with an onboard media player in a single 2U, half-rack width unit, the MA60MEDIA will be on show at ISE 2010.

The unit plays MP3 or WMA files directly from a USB device or SD memory card plugged into the front panel of the unit, via a simple set of playback controls. Optionally, music source selection and level can be controlled remotely. All standard data rates and sampling frequencies are supported.

Configurable to suit most paging systems, MA60MEDIA features a balanced mic input (phantom power available) that can be mixed with one of four music inputs, with the opportunity for one of these to be the internal music player. Music input 2 is provided with a 3.5mm jack input for easy connection of a portable music player, laptop or similar, while the built-in 60W power amplifier can drive low-impedance loudspeakers or – with the addition of an easy-to-fit internal option – 100/70/50V line systems.

A simplified version without the onboard digital music player, the MA60, is also available. As with all new products in the Cloud range, the MA60MEDIA and MA60 are covered by a five-year warranty.

Regarding the suitability of ISE to launch the new system, Cloud’s Simon Curtis told Installation Europe: “ISE has now matured into the most significant specialist audio/video event, attracting the best system integrators, consultants and specifiers from around Europe. Along with InfoComm’s outstanding seminar programme, ISE is the complete package for any AV professional – and Cloud is an important part of that package.”
