Alfalite’s UHD Finepix MATIX 1.8 AlfaCOB solution is at the heart of what is described as Slovenia’s largest indoor LED screen, a 40sqm display recently installed at Ljubljana Exhibition & Convention Centre’s Marmorna Hall.
The screen, measuring 8.40 × 4.72m, has replaced a previous projection-based system and comprises 196 cabinets with a 1.88mm pixel pitch. It is designed to deliver high brightness and consistent image performance under strong natural daylight conditions..
The project was delivered in collaboration with Austrian integrator WALLERIE, part of LANNER Media, with installation completed jointly with Alfalite’s technical team in two days.
The Ljubljana Exhibition & Convention Centre hosts around 250 events annually, welcoming up to 500,000 visitors, including major international congresses such as the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. European manufacture was a stated requirement for the client, with local production standards, operational security, and long-term technical support among the priorities cited.
Alfalite says it is currently the only European manufacturer to design and produce its LED panels entirely in Europe.
Iztok Bricl, CEO of Ljubljana Exhibition & Convention Centre, said: “We organise large congresses with 1,300 to 2,000 participants. The quality of the LED screen and its straightforward maintenance were decisive factors for us. We needed a solution that guarantees performance and immediate technical support if required.”

The installation incorporates redundant signal control to ensure uninterrupted operation during live events, with the 1.88mm pixel pitch enabling detailed content display for data-driven presentations and medical congresses.
