The D-Mitri digital audio platform (pictured) will provide the backbone of the Constellation system at ISE, whilst esteemed flautist Adrian Brett will contribute live music.
Now installed at globally-prominent venues including the Nokia Concert Hall in Estonia, Constellation employs multiple small, self-powered loudspeakers in conjunction with patented VRAS digital signal processing algorithms to create variable acoustical environments. Live music for the demos will be performed by renowned British flautist Adrian Brett, who has participated in a variety of leading English orchestral ensembles.
Underpinning the Constellation system at ISE will be the new D-Mitri digital audio platform, which incorporates the emerging AVB networking standard and will also be featured at the AVnu Alliance platform (6H136).
Also on show at ISE 2011 will be the smallest member of the MILO array family – the self-powered MINA – as well as the CAL column array loudspeaker incorporating sophisticated DSP algorithms and AVB-enabled Ethernet input. Several compact low-voltage systems – including the UP-4XP loudspeaker and the MM-10 miniature subwoofer – will be shown in conjunction with a Crestron controller, highlighting these systems’ facility for third-party integration.
A cocktail reception on Tuesday 1 February, from 18:00 to 19:30, will provide an opportunity for visitors to mingle with prominent industry figures while enjoying the hospitality of Meyer Sound.
Away from the showfloor, Meyer Sound is also participating in a number of seminar events. As part of the USE seminar programme, the company’s executive director, digital products, John McMahon, will give two presentations: ‘Introduction to Room Acoustics’ (1 Feb, 12:00-13:30, Room D201-D204) and ‘Beamforming & Wavefield Synthesis’ (2 Feb, 14:00-15:30, Room D201-204). In addition, long-time Meyer Sound user Bill Schuermann of HFP Acoustical will present ‘Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its Impact on the Audiovisual Industry’ (31 Jan, 12:35-13:20), while Vikram Kirby of Thinkwell Design will join Meyer Sound and other key members of the AVnu Alliance in an event entitled ‘Theory of Application – AVB in Real-World System Design and Application’, taking place on 1 Feb at 16:00 in Hall 10 at the ISE Theatre, of which Meyer Sound is an official sponsor.
