Jeffreys to be InfoComm president

Greg Jeffreys is to become president of InfoComm International in 2012, the first industry member from outside North America to attain this lead role within the organisation.

“It’s a real honour to be voted into such an exalted position within our industry,” said Jeffreys. “My period on the board has marked the most satisfying period of my professional life, whereby I work with really clever and successful people in a truly collegiate fashion.”

Until 2012, Jeffreys continues to ascend through the InfoComm ranks. A part of a Steering Committee managing InfoComm work on projected image quality standards and best practices, Jeffreys also sits on the task group writing an ANSI Standard about projected System Contrast Ratio (SCR).

He became Officer to the InfoComm Board of Directors in late 2009, currently serves as secretary-treasurer and, in 2012, will become the first non-North American to hold the post of InfoComm president.

The final year of Jeffreys’ four-year ‘ascendancy’ – 2013 – will also see him serve as chairman of the Leadership Development Committee, whose responsibilities include the identification and mentoring of future leaders.

Yesterday, it was announced that the company of which Jeffreys is founder and chairman – Paradigm AV – has made a series of board changes.

Sales manager Mick Perrone and operations manager Steve Pratt have joined the main board with immediate effect and are promoted as directors. Jeffreys and Polly Whittaker continue to serve as chairman and FD, respectively, while Ross Hugo has become a non-executive director.
