ISE 2024: Futuresource Consulting to share tech insights at Pro AV Collaborative

Taking place on the 31st January from 4 – 630pm in room CC4.1, Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, the free event will spotlight key emerging trends and technologies within the pro AV space

Pro AV Collaborative will be market research firm Futuresource Consulting’s debut event at ISE 2024. Taking place on the 31st January from 4 – 630pm in room CC4.1, Fira de Barcelona Gran Vía, the free event will spotlight key emerging trends and technologies within the pro AV space.

The firm has announced Dante as the title sponsor of the event, with Crestron as the content sponsor. Chris McIntyre-Brown, managing director at Futuresource Consulting, commented: “Having these two leaders on board reflects the outstanding quality of insights set to be shared at Pro AV Collaborative. Our goal is to unite figures from the far reaches of the industry to discuss the emerging trends set to impact us all. Ultimately, we hope to provide heaps of extra value to those already attending ISE.”

Futuresource will be joined by a host of respected speakers, including Dan Goldstein (chief marketing officer at AVIXA), Vince Lepore (Dante), Tobias Enders (GMS / GPA Consulting), Espen Loberg (Cisco), and Sam Kennedy (Crestron).

The full session outline is as follows:

  • 16:00 – 16:20 | Welcome & fireside chat – Dan Goldstein (CMO, AVIXA), Chris McIntyre-Brown (managing director, Futuresource Consulting)

Introduction to Futuresource’s ISE 2024 event and a zoom-out of the industry. How has the pro AV sector evolved over the last twenty years, and how will this shape what’s to come?

  • 16:25 – 16:50 | What’s stopping the MicroLED revolution? Ted Romanowitz (principal analyst, Futuresource Consulting)
MicroLED is poised to disrupt the world of displays, and for good reason: the technology is undoubtedly a leap forward in image quality, with ASPs on par with flat panel displays. But what are the roadblocks hindering mass production? How will the technology coexist within the current ecosystem?
  • 16:55 – 17:20 | The convergence of video production and the world of AV [panel] – Vince Lepore (director of training and professional services, Dante), Chris Evans (lead analyst, Futuresource Consulting)
Organisations across all verticals are now embracing video content creation. After a surge in demand catalysed by the pandemic, how does the industry transform this elevated interest in professional video technology into more sustainable ongoing business?
  • 17:25 – 17:40 | The Era of Digitalisation: outlook for the future of connected AV [presentation] – Kateryna Dubrova (technology analyst, Futuresource Consulting)
For pro AV, differentiation potential lies within software and platform capabilities. Vendors are opening their APIs for higher interoperability and connectivity – something the industry has long grappled with – and the SaaS and PaaS landscape will shift rapidly to reflect these changes. As software and cloud-enabled services emerge as a market, increased value for AV clients is on the horizon.
  • 17:45 – 18:20 | The intelligent workplace [panel] – Tobias Enders (CEO, GMS), Espen Løberg (VP of product management, Cisco Collaboration Devices), Sam Kennedy (senior director of product marketing, Crestron), Alistair Johnston (head of collaboration, Futuresource Consulting)
The pandemic demonstrated the need for digital, dynamic, integrated workplaces, but uncertainty over the return to the office continues to reign. How should workspaces change to best suit hybrid workflows? How will AV and IT combine to create the smart workplace of the future?
  • 18:25 – 18:30 | Closing remarks – Chris McIntyre-Brown (Futuresource Consulting)
An insightful session summary and a look to the future.
  • 18:30 – 19:30 | Drinks and networking

Make connections at Pro AV Collaborative

“An important part of tradeshows is always the connections you make when you’re there. We’ll be concluding the event with an all-important networking session, including drinks and refreshments,” said McIntyre-Brown.

“It’s no secret that the technology landscape is awash with change. Acknowledging and adapting to these changes is key for businesses hoping to succeed now and into the future. At Pro AV Collaborative, we’ll be sharing insights on these transitions.”
