ISE insights: Joby Morris, Tateside

Project manager for London-based AV and IT integrator discusses ISE 2026 in our exclusive interview

How many times have you attended ISE, and in what capacity?
I think this will be my 5th time attending ISE. I remember when it used to be in Amsterdam, before moving to Barcelona. Most recently, I’ve attended as a project manager with Tateside, an AV integrator based in London.

What are you most looking forward to seeing, or experiencing at ISE?
I always enjoy meeting people in our industry and putting faces to the names of people you’ve only ever emailed. It’s so productive and engaging to have a conversation in person, surrounded by the latest and greatest innovations. It’s also a highlight learning about something new and taking ideas home to use on the next project.

Which tech trends do you think will dominate the show floor and why?
I’d suspect AI-driven platforms and technology within the meeting room will continue to grow, along with next-gen display technology such as fine pitch and micro-LED.

How has the AV industry evolved since the last ISE, and how will it be reflected at the show?
Managed services continue to grow as one of the ever-expanding deliverables of our industry. Lifecycle and sustainability management, remote monitoring and automation are becoming key when working with clients post-project delivery. I’d expect many new software tools and cloud-based platforms are becoming available to help with this, from asset management to diagnostics tools.

What role does ISE play in your business planning and decision-making for the year ahead?
ISE at the start of the year provides one of the best opportunities to engage with manufacturers, distributors, end users and other AV partners, all under one roof. It is a hub to learn more about existing products and take a deep dive on the new technologies in development. To gain an understanding into which direction manufacturers are going gives inspiration for future projects and system designs.

Are there any particular product categories or solutions you’re prioritising this year, and why?
Directional audio, micro-LED and unified collaboration.
