How many times have you attended ISE, and in what capacity?
I’ve been attending ISE for the last decade as part of Shure. ISE is an extraordinary platform to connect with partners, customers and industry friends. It’s one of the most important global events for our industry, and truly one you don’t want to miss.
What are you most looking forward to seeing, or experiencing at ISE?
I am most looking forward to exploring new technologies and sharing existing solutions with new customers. I’m also curious about the trends that will dominate discussions, and the role Shure will play in shaping those advancements.
Which tech trends do you think will dominate the show floor and why?
AI will be a major topic. The AI revolution means different things to different people, and it’s being implemented in diverse ways across the industry. ISE 2026 will be a great opportunity to see how these innovations come together.
How has the AV industry evolved since the last ISE, and how will it be reflected at the show?
The AV industry has grown stronger, and ISE has played a key role in bringing us together annually. 2025 was the busiest year yet, and I expect 2026 to be even bigger.
Our industry never stops evolving. One major shift has been the integration of AV into IT workflows, and manufacturers must adapt.
At Shure, we’re delivering solutions that help IT professionals deploy enterprise-ready technology that’s easy to use and scale. We’re moving toward ecosystems rather than isolated integrations – creating a future where everything works seamlessly together.
Do you have an opinion on the ongoing convergence between AV and broadcast, something ISE is rejecting in both the diversity of its exhibitors and also its events programming?
We can only speak for what we do at Shure, and broadcast is a very big part of our business. We see a bi-directional convergence between AV and broadcast.
On one hand, the rise of content creation at the brand level means more corporations, universities, and governments are investing in media rooms, green rooms, and podcast studios – whether for social media, hybrid events, or other productions.
On the other hand, we recently launched the DCA901 Broadcast Microphone Array for broadcast studios and sports events. We’ve taken our expertise in conferencing and re-engineered a solution for media production. This innovation uses our proven microphone array technology, adapted for broadcast workflows, making deployments simpler, more controllable, and better aligned with modern production needs.
Its adoption in broadcast environments shows how closely broadcast and systems integration now align.
What role does ISE play in your business planning and decision-making for the year ahead?
ISE plays a huge role in our planning for the year ahead. It’s not just a few days for us, it implies months of plannings and even an additional month after the show where we continue to speak with people, customers and partners with whom we’ve met during the tradeshow.
Plans start during summer: booth design, product showcases, messaging, attendee coordination. After four intense days in Barcelona, the cycle begins again.
It never really goes to sleep throughout the year; it’s always at the back of our minds. How to make it bigger, better and more relevant every year.
Are there any particular product categories or solutions you’re prioritising this year, and why?
Last year at ISE, we launched our IntelliMix Room Kits. Complete, Microsoft Teams Rooms Certified solutions. They’ve been a huge success, delivering pre-configured, class leading audio and video performance with powerful compute and a touch panel for spaces of all sizes.
The compute and touch panel are also available as a standalone base kit – the IntelliMix Foundation System, enabling qualified professionals to mix and match Shure’s Microflex Ecosystem and complementary third-party camera and control products. This enables users to now rollout a complete end-to-end Shure solution, from mic to speaker including the MTR giving a whole new level of flexibility to our customers seeking to create people-centric meeting experiences. It means integrating different products from different manufacturers, something that has frustrated users for years, is now a thing of the past.
This is the first solution of its kind with our Intellimix DSP software hosted on the compute.
By adding these to our portfolio, Shure now offers a complete ecosystem – from software to loudspeakers – providing an end-to-end solution that simplifies deployments and eliminates the need to manage multiple vendors.
The IntelliMix Room Kits, and the IntelliMix Foundation System along with other innovations for collaboration, installation and live productions, will be on display at ISE 2026, and we can’t wait to share them with the industry.
