ISE 2013: Sennheiser reveals new LSP 500 Pro loudspeaker

Sennheiser's new LSP 500 Pro loudspeaker is suitable for both voice and music, and features a built-in music player. The device can be operated via an app, while wireless connectivity allows external control over WLAN.

Sennheiser is unveiling its new LSP 500 Pro loudspeaker for voice and music at ISE 2013, which can be operated via an app. Sennheiser says its LSP 500 Pro lets the audio systems for any event be quickly installed, as its wireless functionality eliminates the need to lay cables.

The company also supplies an app that allows up to 20 loudspeakers to be remotely controlled at the same time using a mobile device, over an external WLAN. This also permits the selection of various application modes, such as volume control or equaliser adjustement.

The speaker also comes with a built-in music player and the offers the ability to play songs directly via a USB input. Any loudspeaker is simply defined as the master and wirelessly connected to the others.

Sennheiser says its new LSP 500 Pro provides the company’s “usual excellent level of audio quality”, guaranteeing optimum speech intelligibility for those speaking and good sound for music.

LSP 500 Pro is compatible with microphones from Sennheiser’s evolution wireless 100, 300 and 500 series. It can be connected to up to three separate receivers.

The speaker is pitched at events of all sizes, such as congresses, galas or press conferences.
