Williams AV adds Audio-Technica France as distribution partner

Assistive listening specialist Williams AV has appointed French arm of the global audio manufacturer as it expands its European channel ahead of new accessibility legislation

Williams AV has appointed Audio-Technica France as a distribution partner, expanding its European channel network as demand for assistive listening technology grows in response to the European Accessibility Act (EAA).

Queen Mary University London (QMUL) has refurbished its historic Garrod Building in Whitechapel, modernising its teaching and social spaces. Williams AV transmitters were part of the tech kit.

The partnership gives French integrators local access to Williams AV’s assistive listening solutions, with Audio-Technica France providing technical guidance and deployment support. The agreement builds on existing relationships with Audio-Technica Central Europe and Audio-Technica Benelux.

Over the past six months, Williams AV has added distribution partners in Singapore, Panama, Morocco, and Spain.

Per Persson, vice president of international sales and product management at Williams AV, said: “With the European Accessibility Act now in effect, venues are actively looking for practical ways to meet accessibility expectations. We’re seeing growing interest in modern assistive listening technologies, and our experience working with the Audio-Technica teams in Central Europe and the Benelux region has been excellent. Expanding that partnership into France felt like a natural next step.”

Evangéline Pirot, general manager of Audio-Technica France, added: “As accessibility becomes a greater focus for venues across France, we’re excited to introduce Infinium to our customers and help them explore how this new technology can support their audiences.”

Founded in 1976 and headquartered in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Williams AV is marking its 50th anniversary this year. The company offers solutions spanning assistive listening, language interpretation, intercom, classroom audio, guided tours, and entertainment, and operates across more than 60 countries.
