Attendees from 93 countries visited the booths of a record 988 exhibitors (including 231 first-timers), showing the latest developments in display, projection, audio, collaborative conferencing, control and networking applications. Exhibits and special events occupied more than 500,000sq ft (net) of space, compared with 465,000sq ft in 2007.

“InfoComm 08 reflects the fast pace of innovations and growth in the AV communications industry,” said Randal Lemke, InfoComm International executive director. “We introduced new courses and exhibitors this year to address the demand for digital signage, audio, and telepresence technology, as well as high-definition products, lighting and staging, and more.”

InfoComm’s educational sessions also proved popular. For instance, Super Tuesday, a full day of advanced courses for AV professionals, drew 817 registrants – a 12% increase over 2007.
