The IP audio, monitoring and control specialist – which enjoyed double-digit growth in 2010 – recently surpassed the 100,000 device sales threshold.
Highlights of a very productive period for Barix have included the supply of 1,200-plus Audio over IP devices to the Commonwealth Games in India to handle IP contribution and distribution.
Johannes G Rietschel, CEO and founder of Barix, described 2010 as “a huge success” for the company, adding: “We passed a major sales milestone and experienced a substantial revenue increase. Barix contributed more than 1,200 devices to the largest Audio over IP project for live sound ever at a sports event in India, while securing key customer wins in security, transportation, healthcare and other markets.”
Right now, the company is preparing to showcase a number of recent products at InfoComm 2011, which takes place from 15-17 June in Orlando. Solutions on display will include the Exstreamer P5 amplified IP decoder, the Annuncicom 155 IP intercom and announcement device, and the IPAM 100 Industrial core technology module (pictured).
Speaking to IE, Rietschel described InfoComm as “our most important trade show for North America”, adding: “We are showcasing several new things in the IP paging and IP audio distribution domain. For the remainder of 2011, we will focus on delivering at least three new products, plus evolve some of our existing standard products. In addition, we will focus on some new market segments which should help us to achieve the planned growth of 20 to 30 per cent.”
